A Different View
Thames Valley Partnerships

The idea of the creation of a ‘culture of fear’ is highly evident in the media; if you were to read any national newspaper for example – chances are you would come across the latest story of an incident involving troublesome ‘youths’ / ‘yobs’ / ‘hoodies’.
With such issues in mind Thames Valley Partnership have worked to deliver a change programme; a series of projects and workshops which have employed creative intervention as a means of tackling various issues affecting young people today in the local community.
Sprout Designs were asked to create a website that would celebrate the work that has been undertaken in these projects and workshops, as a form of archive and celebration, while allowing the team the ability to add to the site and manage new projects in the future.
In conjunction with the site, a promotional book was produced with some promotional postcards to support the site.
All outcomes played on the idea of ‘a different view’ and due to image permission rights, kaleidoscopic images were produced, creating abstract images that hinted at the projects and were backed up with quotes and case studies.
A truly creative outcome, with Thames Valley Partnership we explored different interpretations of the content to push the project forward to a visually stimulating outcome.
“We are very pleased to have worked with Sprout Designs on the design of a new website and accompanying book. Our website brings together a number of projects we have worked on to help share our knowledge with others in this field.
It was a complicated piece of work and we are extremely pleased with the result. Sprout Designs immediately understood the message we wanted to convey and we were assured that they were well in tune with our desired outcome. They presented a number of very exciting formats and designs and ultimately have produced a website which is both vibrant and accessible. We are very proud of it.
The process from initial brief to completion was very smooth and we felt very comfortable that we were in safe hands! Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. They also put a lot of energy into sourcing and advising us on suitable book formats and we were very happy for them to take a lead on the technical side of bringing this together. All in all, a great job very well done!”
